Francesco Franceschetti Elastomeri opens 2019 with the launch of a new family of compounds that revolutionizes the TPE sector.
Francesco Franceschetti Elastomeri has been producing TPE – thermoplastic elastomer compounds based on SEBS, SBS and TPO – since 1987. The production plant is based in Italy and provides innovative and customized solutions suitable for different applications and technologies such as injection molding, extrusion, film coating and blow molding.
MARFRAN A is a new series of compounds with exceptional clarity and elasticity, they have a shiny appearance and they are resistant to atmospheric agents making them ideal supports in the field of optics and automotive.
“Customers who know our products are asking for new compounds with superior transparency, to which we have responded with the Marfran A family – notes Francesco Franceschetti, General Manager of the company – Thanks to a consolidated co-designing relationship with customers, we have created a new line of high-performance technological products. “
The new material family has a crystalline transparency comparable to polycarbonate and PMMA but it can also be used in combination with other polar polymers such as PC, PMMA, ABS, SAN, PBT, PETG, PA and PVC. It has better adhesion values than all the other series in the TPE MARFRAN range and it is also glueable and paintable.
MARFRAN A have the best degree of resistance to aging and UV rays among thermoplastic elastomers.
The new MARFRAN A are available in modulable hardnesses from 55 to 90 Shore A but also in semi-rigid versions from 30 to 50 Shore D.
